Any promotional opportunities / tv / radio / podcast?

This contest is really interesting. The help with actual product development would be great for many. However I was wondering if the winners would get promotional benefits as well including Newspaper articles/interviews, TV, podcast etc?

    Jack, I do agree with you and note the Kickstarter model that benefits from the same kind of promotion and viral focus to build interest and awareness in what NY is doing to make the next great thing. It's up the the event organizers to promote so I'm hoping there's a plan in place once the public voting period begins. - Elliot

    Elliot that is an excellent point about this contest bringing major attention for NY. If promoted. Hopefully the organizers rep will post before the deadline for entry.

    Thanks for your question. The promotional benefits you mention are not part of the official prizes for the competition, but the winners of New York's Next Top Makers will be absolutely be publicized. The Studio Phase Finalists will be featured on a specially created blog throughout the Studio Phase and will present at the World Maker Faire New York.
